I have had the extreme honor of photographing great architecture, beautiful interiors and glorious homes over the last 30 years. I started here in Atlanta working for famed architect John Portman. With his son Michael we photographed every Portman finished project up and thru the late 1980’s. We traveled throughout the United States and Internationally. Landmark hotels such as Bonaventure LA, Detroit Renaissance, The Portman Hotel, San Francisco Hyatt and The Westin Atlanta were all photographed in great detail.

When I left Portman I was looking for a firm with the same kind of evolving design to photograph which I was now a custom to. I found Thompson Ventulett Stainback and Associates in 1991, renamed tvsdesign in 2008. I had been the firm’s in-house photographer for over 20 years. tvsdesign realized the importance of photography and the marketing possibilities that came with an extensive photo library. With our collaboration it paid off being named National AIA Firm of the Year in 2002. The photography I produced was used in all manner of marketing, proposals for future work, editorials and numerous magazine covers. Local, State, and National awards in which photography plays an enormous part numbered in the hundreds. Due to tvsdesign being one of the largest firms in Georgia, I was exposed to many segments of design. They included education, performing arts, office buildings, workspace and some of the largest retail malls in the country. I have 25 convention centers in my portfolio including 4 of the top 5 in size. I am likely the foremost photographer of Convention Center space in The United States.

My photography is well rounded with hundreds of commercial projects as well as residential. There is a style in the south that is very distinct, elegant and beautiful and I have enjoyed seeing it through the eye of the camera.
